He or she is your ex for a reason

Sometimes when you think of having to get to know someone new...the thought is just overwhelming and scary. How do you know if you can trust this new person? Should you be worried about people in their past? When he or she says they have no kids, are they including the ones that they sometimes deny exist? This is why sometimes it is just seems easier and more comfortable to go back and spend time with someone from your past. If you and this person are friends and are just reconnecting, this is probably not a bad idea. However, if you and this person are considering dating again, know that the same thing that is an advantage with dating someone from the past can also be a disadvantage for the relationship. When we leave a relationship and it is not on bad terms, very often we forget all the things about the person we did not like. Instead we meditate on the "good times". Ya mind is playing tricks on you! He or she is your ex for a reason. We can’t go back in time, so why do we go back in relationships....thinking that we might get a different conclusion? Now there are exceptions to everything...noted, however it’s rare. Unfortunately what end up happening is you go back into the relationship carrying the same baggage that you had before and your tolerance for the other person is much lower that it would be for a perfect stranger, and if the sequel does not end well; you may feel like you wasted time. Happy New Year sex n the chocolate city! As the grown and sex parties ringing in the New Year have come to an end, we start sailing forward on this 365 day odyssey. Some people don’t believe in resolutions, and some do...do you have any? This year is going to be the year of my restoration! I have made some other resolutions, like learn how to please myself...another blog...another day...lol. However, the most important resolution of 2010 is to continue to get to know me. It is really important that you know yourself, especially if you think you’re ready for a committed relationship. No sooner did I think the thought or spoke the words did my damn phone ring! Guess who? The dude I used to screw..lol...got off the phone with him and who do I see the guy that I have been dying to meet! I don’t know if my most important resolution is gonna stick. It seems like everywhere I go....(I'm about to have a fabulous moment, don’t worry I'll put the mirror down when I'm done..lol) a guy is trying to talk to me or ask me for my number. I mean is Aphrodite stalking me? The idea of spending some Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants time together with myself sounds amazing, but I might have to give in to a few dates. With all jokes aside I challenge all of us to continue to get to know ourselves a little better this year.
